Baby Items Wishlist No. 2- Baby Nursery Edition Part 1 đꧏ

Let’s get stuck right in! Here are some items I’d furnish our nursery with if I were to do it all again, or maybe in the future with a other little one? Let me know what you think below!

The BLISS Rocking Chair AND FOOTSTOOL by the luxury nursery company- LINEN Beige with white Wooden Legs
1. The BLISS Rocking Chair AND FOOTSTOOL by the luxury nursery company- LINEN Beige with white Wooden Legs

I’d go for the version that’s not buttoned. The image on the left shows the Royal Rocking Chair but I love the Bliss Chair! Chair is ÂŁ975.00 with the footstool it’s ÂŁ1,350.00. I love the whole look, with the panelled wall for the nursery. Breastfeeding in the early days of baby’s life takes it’s toll on one’s body in many ways, and one of those ways is that it can affect one’s posture, so having a comfy chair to feed and rock baby to sleep sounds like a good idea.

2. Ivory armchair with emblem- CARAMELLA INTERIORS

I was scrolling through Instagram, as you do, and I came across a page, with the most adorable and of course luxe nursery furnishings for baby’s room! I love the regal style offerings they have and the fact that you can customise chairs, lampshades etc. with your own emblem/ initials/ baby’s name. This is a bonus. To be honest I’d furnish the whole nursery suite with this company’s chairs, dressers, wardrobes etc. based on what I’ve seen so far from this brand. They are based in Poland and so they charge in Euros, I don’t know what that means now with Brexit and all with regards to P&P and import fees.

The collections I like are the: Modern Classic Collection, The Ivory Mist, The Golden Sand Collection and the Anthracite Gloss for boys.

Prices are on the dearer side, but that’s to be expected giving how luxurious their designs are.

3. The Possum Play Couch and other brands

For when baby is a bit more mobile, I’d love to have some soft play apparatus in house either in the nursery or play room. This is great for play, but also for lounging. Reading to baby on one of these maybe? Sounds like a good idea.

Apart from this brand, I’ve seen so many different soft play things on Etsy, funnily enough, the companies selling all the neutral tones on Etsy seem to be based mainly in Poland.

I like the ones that are made from a soft velvet fabric. With some, you can get a matching ball pit and the likes…

The modular play couch pictured on the top-right comes in at ÂŁ295.00, the ones on Etsy are a similar price. Etsy shops I’ve seen selling these soft play things in warm neutral tones and other softer colours are: What Kids Like Best and What Makes Kids Happy (dubious names if you ask me, but they’re from overseas) Monboxy and NunuNuKids.

Another company that does soft play toys and tasteful ball pits is Kidkii. They do soft play sets, play couches and dinnerware for baby’s feeding!

Underneath all these soft play sets, I would add a cream coloured shock-absorbing play mat, to prevent any hard falls or injuries. I’ve been searching high and low for PLAIN, non-patterned playmate and I’ve finally found them on www. softfloorkids.co.uk

Nuna Leaf Grow Biscotti
4. Nuna leaf grow- Biscotti

If I wasn’t going to get by nursery baby bouncer from Caramella Interiors then I’d get the Nuna Leaf Grow in the Biscotti colour. We have the older version, which I love the look of and purposely bought it for that reason, so I could’ve got this one, but I got the grey one as it matches some aspects of our living room, but for the nursery, I’d get the beige. Yes, it’s on my wishlist because of the colour.

RRP is ÂŁ250, but I regularly see these online on sale, so be sure to get a bargain if you’re after this one.

5.Theophile and Patachou Roll Cushion

I was baby shopping in Harrods, and I saw this pillow in one of their display cots and thought it was the cutest little thing I’d ever seen. I’m one of those people that is a sucker for cushions. I love a cushion! This would be a cute addition to baby’s cot for decorative purposes. I know full well that baby has no business using this, but I remain that it’s so cute. If not this, I’d get a custom bolster cushion or oblong pillow with baby’s name on it that she can keep as she grows…

RRP for the Theophile and Patachou Roll Cushion is ÂŁ110.00

I found a cheaper like-for-like alternative which is the Baby d’Oro White Quilted Baby Bolster from the Unique Baby Store online, at uniquebabystore.co.uk. That one is half the price, selling for ÂŁ55.00, but is bigger and not as dainty. The Theophile dimensions are 45cm in length and the Baby d’Oro bolster is 60cm in length and 18cm in diameter.

6. Bell Amy Ines 3 Piece Furniture Set - Elegant White
6. Bell Amy Ines 3 Piece Furniture Set – Elegant White

This furniture set has been featured in a nursery put together by ENW Interiors, which I’ve put images from below. I love the cool colours of this nursery, I think it’s more suitable for a baby boy though, but it can work as a unisex space I think. This set retails for ÂŁ1,534.50 on Beautiful Bambino.

I love everything from the panelled walls, the colour of the paint chosen, the wallpaper used for the top panels is from Cole and Son Wallpapers called Nuvole. The sconces from Ocean Lighting. The chandelier is from Next, scatter cushions are from Andrew Martin. Wardrobe is from Ike. Mr Giraffe is from Melissa and Doug and of course the crib and dresser are from Bell Amy.

7. “Faceless” Large Stuffed Animals in BEIGE Velvet by Ling Lux

Back to the greige/beige colour theme now! I don’t know if Ling Lux’s intention was to handcraft faceless stuffed animals for nurseries, but I’d rather have these in baby’s room than the almost life-sized ones with the creepy glass eyes. I find the toys with the life-like eyes unsettling- They are giving me taxidermy energy -eek!

I’d have both the giraffe and the elephant for selfish reasons, as it reminds me of when hubby and I went on a safari trip in

Faceless" Large Stuffed Animals in BEIGE Velvet by Ling Lux

Tanzania (we flew in from Zanzibar, it was amazing), where we saw both animals and many more on our excursion. I find that these animals in baby’s nursery would almost be like us sharing our experience with baby, as we’d be able to tell her our stories of our travels that time, before she arrived. We’d be able to give her a visual representation of that trip to her and that would be lovely. Apart from that they make very good decor pieces. I saw Ling Lux’s stand at The Baby and Toddler Show in Epsom, Surrey. They do nursery furniture, and other soft furnishings, some of which are not to my taste, but they’ve got some gems like the bassinet below:

Linen finished Bassinet by Ling Lux
8. Linen finished Bassinet by Ling Lux

I love the linen, as it’s different from the usual velvet but it still looks soft. I love the brass legs as well. To be honest this wouldn’t go in the nursery, this would either go in the front room or our bedroom as this bassinet would only be able to accommodate baby up to about 6 months of age. It’s advised that babies below 6 months should sleep in the same room as parents1, so this would be the answer to the which-baby-crib-do-we-go-for question we had.

Thinking more long term for a sleeping solution for baby, we opted for the Stokke Sleepi which isn’t as glamourous but it’s still nice, but hopefully she’ll be able to use it from birth which she has done already, all the way until she hits early double-digits in age. Either way, this bassinet it gorge! And I would welcome it in my home regardless.

Tell me what you think of the items on this wishlist. Would you second me in purchasing anything from here, or would you pass them up?

Let me know below!
