As we’ve been having exceptional weather in mid-September in London, I thought it was incumbent to go out for a walk with baby to soak up the last few rays of sunshine we have left before the weather inevitably decides to turn for the worst.
I chose to go to the quaint neighbourhood of Hampstead, known for its beautiful Georgian town houses, lush greenery and other luxury amenities. We started around the Hampstead Heath Overground Station, then we made our way to the main High Street to grab what I thought would be an iced matcha oat vanilla latte from Joe and The Juice, but to my surprise they ran out of ice, so opted, quite apprehensively for their açai bowl. I wanted something, anything, to cool me down at this point and a place to sit down and feed baby, but not a breakfast bowl with granola, peanut butter and chopped, sliced bananas in the mid-afternoon. Having said this, the best açai frozen ice cream/ sorbet is the Sambazon Scoopable Açai which you can get from Amazon, or you can order from Ocado like I’ve done a few times in the past. It’s perfect for your açai bowl creations, and it must be considerably healthier than conventional ice-creams, I’d imagine. Order it and thank me later.
For those of you that a here for the first time, I love matcha everything! Click here for my go-to at-home iced matcha drink that I enjoy from time to time!

After settling baby and tending to myself as well at Joe and the Juice we continued to walk around the cobbled roads of Hampstead, but then swiftly returned to the paved roads of the high-street. Our Bugaboo Donkey could handle the cobbled streets, but baby didn’t looked too comfortable with the bumps in the road so we changed course. We walked up the hill with buggy reenacting some exercises I see some people perform in the gym, speaking to baby as I was going along, and teaching her the names of the many things we could see in our walk. To be honest I just wanted to go out for the day, get my 10,000 steps in the sun, and have a change of environment for baby and myself, which I achieved. So it was great.

Beeboon Pop-Up

While walking from the Heath to the high-street, I happened to stumble on the Beeboon pop-up store selling the cutest children’s attire and accessories ever! I entered the store and had a look around and saw some really beautiful pieces for both boys and girls. They had knitwear, perfect for the autumn and winter seasons we will be entering upon, and they had some lighter garments that can be used in the summer, or layered for, again, the colder months to come.
The styles of clothing I saw were right up my street, not too garish in terms of colour, but still fun for kids. Beeboon have their main flagship store on the other side of London, just above the river on the Kings Road, SW3, and they carry their own brand of clothing as well as a sought after brand called Mushie. Mushie is a brand I love, but is usually only available in the USA, so I take it Beeboon is like a UK stockist of this brand. Mushie produce and sell all sorts of items, from bibs to blankets, and toys to teethers, as well as everything else like baby clothing, skincare and feeding sets. Their aesthetic looks great too.
On the day in the store, I mainly saw Beeboon’s own brand clothing. They had beautiful floral patterned dresses for girls, and equally smart shirts, sweaters and trousers for the boys. They’ll be at their pop-up up until September ends, according to the blackboard they’ve put outside their retail space. If you can’t make it down, they sell online also. Their website is https://www.beeboon.co.uk. The pop-up store is located on 42 Rosslyn Hill, London NW3 1NH.

All in all, we had a lovely day out, this time it was just baby and I, but it would be lovely for the whole family, in other words Daddy, to come. I remember when I was young and single and not a mother yet, I’d attend the Affordable Art Fair which either takes place in Battersea Park or at Hampstead. The next one in Hampstead is taking place in May 2024 if you’re interested. So coming back with baby after a while was nostalgic and pleasant. And I think I’ll have to return for the art fair later on. God willing. Other shops for children they have this way is the Petit Bateau, which is worth having a look in. They also have four other boutiques in London.
