I purchased the 3-in-1 Nose, Nail & Ear Picker by Frida Baby for baby whilst she was getting over a cold, after realising that the nasal aspirator we bought her wasn’t able to dislodge the stubborn mucus that had settled in and around her nose for the best part of 4 days. I love this brand as they prioritise functionality and design in equal measure.

No wiping away with a wet wipe, cotton pad and lightly soapy warm water or dare I say, manually sucking the bogey out was able to tackle this mess!

It’s tempting also to pick at the “dry boogers” that present themselves when inadequately wiping baby’s snot fails, but it’s best not to just in case baby’s delicate

skin comes away with the bogey, which is what nobody wants.

When this gadget arrived, I couldn’t have been happier. The perfectionist mama in me had been wanting to get this unsightly congealed mucus away and out of baby’s nose for half a week (to no avail) and of course not to mention how it’s was all inconveniencing baby’s breathing and disrupting her sleep, poor thing! It was hard to watch. Of course this wasn’t the first cold she’s had, but I really felt for her this time as it seemed to linger around a lot longer than usual (as I’m writing this she’s okay now though!)

Not only does it come with a looped hook to pick away at the treasures found in and around babies nose, but it also comes with a small soft, flat pointed spatula-like edge to prise away that build up of dirt that accumulates underneath baby’s nails over time- another bane of mine. I usually use this edge on day two or three after filing down baby’s nails with the Tommy Tippee Electric Nail File – another gadget I highly recommend.

On the other end of the picker, it has another “hook” for safely cleaning out baby’s ears, and although it’s named a 3-in-1 device, the fourth end of pick can be used to clean that lint that builds up in between baby’s fingers, toes and belly button. How does that fluff even find themselves there I wonder…

Not to mention this picker comes with it’s own case which is essential for travel.

All in all, I highly recommend this picker as it’s get into all those areas that need tending to with babies, that your traditional cotton flannel and/ or cotton rounds and soap on wash day can’t get to. I feel like with having this picker, I have covered all bases to insure baby is clean and her hygiene is kept up to standard !
